How TruFit Athletic Clubs modernized its brand, reversed momentum, and expanded into new markets.

We partnered with TruFit Athletic Clubs, a multi-location gym chain with 37 locations across Texas, at a critical moment of growth and pressure.

They were preparing to expand into Tennessee, starting with a flagship location in Antioch. Simultaneously, they needed to reverse declining memberships and compete more aggressively in Texas against national brands like Crunch Fitness.

The stakes were high: expansion, reputation, and relevance were all on the line at once.

Research and Validation
Through custom surveys and desk research, we confirmed the brand sentiment issue. This uncovered what members actually valued and what they felt was missing. We were also able to build a more comprehensive picture of their market and what the operational environment looked like.

Brand Strategy and Repositioning
We clarified who TruFit is, how they compete, and what truly differentiates them in a crowded market. This strategic foundation guided every creative and media decision that followed.

New Brand Identity and System
Using stylescapes, we defined a bold, modern visual direction that stood apart from competitors. Once approved, we rolled the new identity out across all touchpoints.

Experiential, OOH, and Digital Execution
We designed and deployed:

  • Large-scale window clings, wall graphics, wayfinding signage, and many other materials
  • Billboards and college campus kiosk ads
  • Digital campaigns for every location across Texas and Tennessee

We built and managed paid media across Google Search and Meta, overseeing hundreds of thousands of dollars in ad spend, and supported the corporate social media presence with ongoing content.
